Sailing Ship Clipper- Muiden, Netherlands

Thoroughly restored, rustic and authentic. This clipper ship was built in 1898. Many clippers were destroyed in the course of time, to make room for modern, fast motorized vessels. Fortunately, some of these old sailing ships have been preserved and restored to their ancient glory, like this clipper. A remarkable idea, that this beautiful ship used to transfer turf. Now she is used as a comfortable passenger ship, where guests can feel the sense of a time long past.

Restorations

In 1982, the ship was fully restored, retaining the original features and transformed into a passenger vessel. In 1994, a second thorough restoration took place in which a full range of sanitary facilities were placed.
